It's All Happening At The Hillside Shops!

The Cashiers Village Hillside Shops are open and thriving. Eleven cottages full of very unique and diverse regional art created by 16 very talented and welcoming artisans.

Vintage hats, inlaid glass, jewelry, oil and watercolor paintings, mosaics, porcelain, weaving, woodwork, folk art, pottery and Alpaca products. Truly something for everyone!

You can find artists painting in the garden and crafters demonstrating their skills.

You will often find live acoustic music and a pair of young Alpacas munching the grass.

Hours are 12-6, Friday through Sunday, for the remaining October weekends. We'll be open Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving too.

The Shops' artists will be hosting a special Trick or Treat event from 4-6pm on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st.

It's never too early to start your Christmas shopping!

  1. Hello, although they are not local artisans, I'd like to recommend a business called Cocoon House that sells wholesale amazingly gorgeous handmade silk and burn-out velvet attire--scarves, shrugs, etc, made in the silk producing region of China (fair Trade). They are hoping to expand their business to this area of the U.S. Their website is www.cocoonhouse.com, and the young woman I talked with is named Chen. Very pleasant. I plan to order some of their items as an individual, but how nice it would be to have their items close by. Kathryn Byer
